We're backed! In this post, we're going to introduce five Asian dishes you might want to try. Including Sweet and Sour Chicken, Yuja Tea, Ramen, Sushi, and Tteokbokki. Let's check out why we suggest them!😋 1. Sweet and Sour Chicken (糖醋雞)Chinese deep-fried chicken in bite-sized pieces. The sweet and sour sauce is made with ketchup, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt. After the chicken pieces were salted with soy sauce, they were dipped with egg yolk and corn starch for deep-fried. Then it is fried with the sauce and other ingredients like pineapples and bell peppers. Where you can try it?🤔 Quick China Location: Üniversiteler Mahallesi 4. Cad, Bilkent Center 3/37, 06800 Çankaya Price: 59TL Comment: It is served with prawn crackers, and topped with sliced carrots and cucumber, which is a little bit weird. However, the sweet and sour sauce and fried chickens are delicious and worth trying! Ratings: 4/5 2. Yuja Tea (유자차)Traditional Korean tea is made by mixing hot water with Yuja-Cheong, a marmalade made with honey, and Yuja (a fruit). It tastes sweet and sour with the flavor of orange and lemon. It’s riches in Vitamin C and can help with a sore throat. Where you can try it?🤔 Korelee Location: Kavaklıdere, Bestekar Cd No:27, 06900 Çankaya/Ankara Price: 23.5TL Comment: Same taste as the original one but it’s very pricy for just a small cup. It’d better to a jar of Yuja-Cheong and make it yourself. Ratings: 3.5/5 3. Ramen (ラーメン) Japanese noodle with meat- or fish-based broth (a soup that is cooked for long hours). Usually served with sliced pork, nori (dried seaweed), menma (bamboo shoots), and scallions (green garlic). Where you can try it?🤔 Quick China Location: Üniversiteler Mahallesi 4. Cad, Bilkent Center 3/37, 06800 Çankaya Price: 65TL Comment: Changed pork to beef and add onion into it but the noodle tastes good. The soup is not what I expected but it’s worth trying. Ratings: 4/5 4. Sushi (すし) Sushi is a classic Japanese cuisine that consists of vinegared rice with a little sugar and salt, sometimes accompanied by raw fish and vegetables. The styles and presentation of sushi vary widely, with the main ingredient being sushi rice, also called shari or sumeshi. Where you can try it?🤔 Quick China Location: Üniversiteler Mahallesi 4. Cad, Bilkent Center 3/37, 06800 Çankaya Price: California Roll (56TL), Salmon Abori (72TL) Comment: They serve 8 pieces of sushi. Good in taste and service. If you are very hungry, I suggest you eat it as an appetizer. Ratings: 4/5 5. Tteokbokki (떡볶이) Translated as “stir-fried rice cake” it is a dish made with “garaetteok” which is a cylinder -shaped white rice cake. It is spicy and very popular as street food in Korea. It’s ingredients are Korean rice cakes, Korean soup stock, Tteokbokki sauce and garnishes which are toasted sesame seeds, sesame oil and green onion. Where you can try it? 🤔 Korelee Location: Kavaklıdere, Bestekar Cd No:27, 06900 Çankaya/Ankara Price: 38TL Comment: It’s a bit spicy if you aren’t used to spicy food but it’s a very original Korean dish and something I haven’t tried before, it must be tried once in a lifetime! How's it going, every foodie? We are backed! Today, we're going to recommend four Asian restaurants in Ankara that we think are the best. You can try Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other Asian food in these four restaurants. We have different restaurant suggestions for different purposes. We recommend you to go to Korelee to have fun with your friends, to Kardeşler Uygur Mutfağı if you want to eat authentic food, to Guangzhou Wuyang if you want to feel yourself in a chinese restaurant, and finally to Quick China if you want to eat different asian dishes. Dont forget to read our post for more information! Let's check which restaurants are on our list!🤩 1. Master of Asian Cusine: Quick China (Bilkent Center)High food quality with any kind of Asian food We visited Quick China in Bilkent, Ankara. It has branches in many parts of Ankara, and online orders are also available. California Roll and Mongolian chicken are served immediately after settling on the table. While ordering, the employees and the owner help with the content. When you get food advice from the waiters according to your taste, they will do their best. Therefore do not hesitate to find a dish that suits your taste. The interior decor is inspired by Asian culture and offers you a different ambiance while you eat. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken (59TL), Viking Maki (49TL), and Vegetable Egg Noodle (43TL). I would advise Sweet and Sour Chicken. If you are not used to Asian cuisine, I would definitely recommend it as a starter. The sweet and sour flavors balance each other nicely without overwhelming them. Viking Maki is a delicious taste and brings different flavors together. The ingredients include salmon, avocado, apple, and tobiko. If you want to try other flavors, I definitely recommend it. If you're going to eat Asian food without risk, I strongly suggest noodles. This flavor, combined with soy sauce and various spices, is one of the cornerstones of Asian cuisine. In general, the taste of all of them was unique and very delicious. When the meal was over, we enjoyed the jasmine tea, which was given as a treat. Don't forget to book as soon as possible! 🥦 (Vegetarian-friendly) Price: 💰💰💰💰 Taste: 😋😋😋😋😋 Opening hours: 11:00-22:00 Address: Üniversiteler Mahallesi 4. Cad, Bilkent Center 3/37, 06800 Çankaya Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/quickchina/ 2. Most Authentic Uyghur Food in Ankara: Kardeşler Uygur MutfağıUygur dishes from East Asia Kardeşler Uygur Mutfağı is one of the restaurants that have recently attracted Ankara residents' attention. Uyghur-themed paintings and tablecloths with motifs hung on the walls add an authentic atmosphere to the place, with Uyghur origin owners. The taste is really suitable for Turkish people. Meals come with lots of meat and large portions. Kardeşler Uygur Mutfağı is a small restaurant in Ankara where you can taste authentic Asian food at an affordable price. We ate Makarna Kavurması (40TL) and Dumpling (18TL). We liked the taste even more when we tried it with hot sauce. Makarna Kavurması was a delicious meal. It was super nutritious. If you haven't tried it yet, you should definitely try it. In addition, we ordered a dumpling on the side Dumpling contains vegetables and meat. It was enough in size since we ate it like appetizers. We think it will suit everyone's taste. In addition, the service was quite fast. If you want to taste authentic Uyghur food, what are you waiting for? Price: 💰💰 Taste: 😋😋😋 Opening hours: 10:00-21:00 Address: Kavaklıdere, Bankacı Sk. 3/A, 06680 Çankaya/Ankara Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/uygurlezzetleri_tr/ 3. Best Korean Food in Ankara: KoreleeKorean vibes in Ankara This is a Korean restaurant opened by a Korean. You can go there by the campus shuttle bus. After you get off at the Tunus stop, you only need to take five minutes to walk to get there. Korelee is always packed with customers, so if you want to enjoy your food without waiting too long, we suggest you arrive at the restaurant 20 to 30 minutes earlier. Once you get in the restaurant, the background music is playing Korean songs. The decoration of Korelee is not a traditional Korean restaurant. However, they have a beautiful wall background with neon lights, Korean words, flowers, and a bench for you and your friends to sit on it. You can take a nice picture and post it on your social media!✨ Below are two dishes you must try in Korelee.😊 Spicy Tteokbokki (35TL). Tteokbokki (떡볶이) is a rice cake that is popular among Koreans. The spicy and chewy taste would make you can’t stop eating! They also have a non-spicy version called Rose Tteokbokki (38TL), which adds milk, cream, and cheddar beside the primary ingredients. However, we would suggest you try the local spicy Tteokbokki if you can eat spicy food. Fried chicken (33TL-43TL). There are 6 types of fried chicken (후라이드 치킨) in Korelee. For people who can eat spicy food, we would suggest Traditional Yangnuym Fried Chicken (38TL). You can taste sweet, sour, and spicy tastes at the same time in their special sauce. For others, Traditional Fried Chicken With Soy (38TL) is your best option. However, no matter which flavor you choose, they are all delicious. The fried chicken is crispy, but the meat is still juicy and tender at the same time. Because Korelee is managed by local Koreans, our Korean friends also recommend the quality and taste! Besides, they have local Korean ingredients, spices, and snacks inside the restaurant for sale. Some waiters can speak in Korean, so the order experience would be more interesting if you knew how to say in Korean. Price: 💰💰💰 Taste: 😋😋😋😋 Opening hours: 11:30-21:00 Address: Kavaklıdere, Bestekar Cd No:27, 06900 Çankaya/Ankara Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/koreleetr/ 4. A Unique Approach to Chinese Food: Guangzhou WuyangA Wide Mixture of Asian Food Guangzhou Wuyang is located in Tunalı’s popular street, the heart of Ankara: Bestekar Street just near Masabaşı Kebapçısı. It was opened in 1987. Its story is intriguing: Kenan Evren made a pact in his China trip: Ankara should open 2 Chinese restaurants. Its cook and owner are Chinese, making the place’s ambiance and food even closer to the original Chinese food even though there are other Asian foods. Besides, it is one of the oldest Chinese or Asian restaurants in Ankara. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with Chinese lambs and paintings. Then, first, an extensive thick menu comes with a promotion menu. Waiters answer all our questions about what tastes good, spicy or hot, and the sizes of the menu. After we had ordered, Kimchi, a Korean kind of hot tangy sauerkraut, came as an appetizer that we thought tasted delicious and couldn’t take our hands-off. We ordered one noodle with beef and 2 spring rolls, one sweet and sour chicken with rice from the promotion menu, and Kimchi soup from the original menu. The promotion menu especially is very economical. You can order 2 spring rolls with hot and sour soup and another menu. The noodle with beef and the sweet and sour chicken with rice was in a considerable portion, and we almost couldn’t finish it, although we did because it was delicious :) The noodle is an original noodle, but it is flavored with Soy Sauce and other Chinese sauces. Kimchi soup was very spicy and hot, and Ece needed to drink a lot of water to balance its hotness. The sweet and sour chicken is mixed with sweet and sour sauce served with rice next to it. Also, Gigi ordered Wonton soup, and although she liked it, she says that it is a bit different than the one she had in Hong Kong. All in all, Asian foodies who want to try other Asian foods should try this restaurant often visited by Asian foodies and embassies! Price: 💰💰💰💰 Taste: 😋😋😋😋 Opening hours: 12:00-22:00 Address: Bestekar Sokak 88/B Kavaklıdere/Ankara Turkey Website: http://www.trwuyang.com/ All in all, Quick China is the most recommended restaurant to us. It has six branches in Ankara and has a massive variety of dishes from different countries in Asia. If you want to try Korean food, go Korelee. If you're going to have Chinese food under Chinese decoration, go to Guangzhou Wuyang. However, there are more Asian restaurants worth visiting. In the next post, we are going to introduce mouth-watering Asian food. So, stay tuned!😉
